If you are having problems creating a Codelinkv2 Agent Account, here are some common issues that players run into.
1) Duplicate User: If you have already attempted to create an account, and this attempt was successful, you will first need to delete this account by logging in and opening the game options. Click the DELETE ACCOUNT button from the main menu. This will wipe your account from the game server, and allow you to create a new one.
Only one account is allowed per IP address, per Computer. If someone created an account on the computer you are using, you will not be allowed to make a new account until the old account connected with that computer is deleted.
2) My account is gone?
If you do not sign into codelink at least once every 30 days, on day 31, the account is considered abandoned and it is removed automatically.
3) Proxy error
You may not play codelink over a proxy connection. This is to keep cheaters at bay, and has been very successful in stopping players from using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage. Disable any proxy and connect like the rest of us.
4) Something ain't right!
If you receive the confirmation email, and the game says the account was successfully created. Double check your password and username before contacting me here for further assistance. (firstname.lastname@example.org)

So I thought I would go ahead and post some information regarding game exploits and cheating. I am fully aware that this is a hacking game, and because I choose not to charge money to play, it attracts every make and model of hacker and cracker out there. If I were hosting a serial killer convention, I would be a fool not to expect a dead body at the end of the show. However, I think it is very clear to everyone that cheating is a no no. It ruins the game for you, as well as the other players who enjoy playing the game and not hacking it.
With that said, it is my duty to keep cheaters at bay, and I will do everything I can to do just that. Now of course if you find an exploit, big or small, and you report it to me privately, I will reward you. However, if you choose to use the exploit for personal gain, you will be banned.
There is NOTHING you do inside Codelink that I don't see. There is nothing you do that isn't logged and documented extensively. I may not be the smartest guy alive, but I am no dummy. If you use an exploit and are banned, trying to convince me that you were going tell me eventually is not going to cut it.
If the game engine catches you cheating, your account is automatically banned. If it suspects you are cheating, your account is flagged for review for 30 days. This means one simple attempt to cheat, even if it fails, will alert me that I need to watch you play... and believe me, I do. You will not receive any notification that you have been flagged.
So... any attempt to run proxy software, or memory editors will flag your account. Any attempt to modify the game data that is transmitted between the client and game server will flag your account. Any attempt to modify the EXE or game.dat file will flag your account.
I consider this my baby, and if you are not respectful, I take that personally. So before you go and get yourself in trouble... remember, this is a hacker game now isn't it. :)

So, You have probably noticed the login.txt file. You can put your username and password inside the text file so that you don't have to type your login information in every time you want to play codelink. This is very simple, Just insert the username and password like this
This will make codelink fill out those login fields for you.
There are a few other things you can do with this file as well, You can turn of the intro music by adding the.
This command will prevent the intro music from playing when you launch codelink v2.
You can also change your in-game MP3 player's default playlist by adding this line.
You will have to create the playlist file manually, and you can name it whatever you want, as long as the filename matches the filename in the login.txt file.

I thought i would go ahead and share this info with you so you can load your own custom made playlists in the mp3 player. You can load these files locally, or upload them online and share the playlist with other players. Here is how it works.
First, Create a text file that will hold the list of paths to the mp3 you want to play. Whether the path is local, or online, the FULL path and mp3 filename is required. Something like this C:\\desktop\clv2\myplaylist.txt for a local file, or http://mysite.com/playlist.txt for a remote one.
Once you have the file created, Open it in notepad and type this , all by itself on the first line.
now under that line, type the tilde character ~ , followed by the full path to the mp3 file, then another ~ . Do this for each song you want on your playlist.
you will have something that looks like this when finished correctly.
Once you have completed this playlist file, open you MP3 player in the game, and paste in the full path and filename of your playlist.txt file. It might look something like this.
Click the load button, and you are finished.
You can also make this new playlist load by default by simply adding this line to the of your login.txt variable string (playlist=FullPathplusMyPlaylistFile.txt&)
